Since helping to establish the robotic surgery program at Suburban Hospital in 2008, Dr. Litvak and Dr. Radolinski have focused on developing a personalized, team-oriented approach to the care of their patients. Dr. Rosenblum joined the practice in 2011, but has been performing robotic surgery since 2009.
After performing the first robotic surgery at Suburban Hospital, Dr. Litvak, Dr. Radolinski, and Dr. Rosenblum have helped many patients with prostate and kidney disease. With training that included hands-on experience at the Cleveland Clinic, the NIH, and Harvard, patients can proceed with the confidence in knowing that they are in capable and caring hands. Our doctors are also committed to continuing education, ensuring that their knowledge and techniques are always state-of-the-art.
Your experience begins by scheduling your first office visit, with a dedicated staff member helping guide you through the steps required to make an appointment with one of our knowledgeable doctors. Staff members also help patients prepare for upcoming visits, making sure the time spent with the doctor is as productive as possible.
If robotic surgery is selected as the appropriate treatment option, our surgical scheduling staff works with the patient to schedule the procedure in a timely fashion. Pre-operative instructions are meticulously reviewed with each patient. If necessary, pre-operative visits with primary care doctors and cardiologists will also be arranged.
On the day of surgery, the operating room staff, anesthesiology team, and surgeon work in concert to provide an optimal experience throughout—from pre-op to recovery. The hospital stay, while brief, is attended by nursing staff who have been specially trained by our doctors in the post-operative care of robotic surgical patients.
Our doctors and clinical staff are available 24 hours a day to respond to any issues that might arise after surgery. Access to knowledgeable and compassionate caregivers is the key to ensuring a great recovery.
During recovery, each patient is given the opportunity to see a specialist in pelvic floor physical therapy. Visits are tailored based on individual needs to maximize urinary function recovery post-operatively. For recovery of erectile dysfunction, patients receive one-on-one training in our office with a specialist in erectile rehabilitation. Both urinary and erectile dysfunction courses are closely supervised by Dr. Litvak, Dr. Radolinski, and Dr. Rosenblum.
Each patient and procedure is unique, requiring surgeons with the technical expertise and patient relationship needed to adapt to change, both inside and outside of the OR. Washington Robotic Surgery and the doctors of Urological Consultants have the commitment and expertise needed to provide this personalized experience for each and every patient.
